Registration

Returning Students

It is recommended to use a desktop computer to complete the online registration. If you do not have access to a computer, one will be available during the office hours of 9:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. Monday - Friday at Colo-NESCO Community School District's Office - 919 West Street in Colo.

Online Registration Instructions

Access Your Account

  • Access your parent portal through JMC
  • Click on the family icon
  • Please make sure you are in the 22-23 school year (by using the dropdown arrow beside the year)
    • Enter your Username (usually this is the last name of the parent NOT the child) and your parent password
      • If you don't know your password, please contact school staff
    • Click on the blue login tab
    • To begin, click on the Register for 22-23 tab on the left-hand side
    • Click on start/continue registration process tab

Update Information

  • Continue through the registration process by clicking next.
  • In each field please make the necessary changes needed to the: parent contact, student demographics and custom fields. Please make sure to scroll down on the custom fields screen and answer all questions.
  • Please note: If you want school alerts, your phone number has to be up to date on JMC and the messaging service boxes need to be clicked in your contact information. PLEASE make sure your email is current because we do communicate with parents through email often.
  • Most custom fields will need to be answered with a Y or a N.
  • Any areas in gray are automatically populated and can not be changed. IF you have more than one student you will fill each student's information out on this page as you continue to click next.
  • Information submitted will be updated automatically upon hitting the finished button.
    • All changes will need to be approved by office personnel before they take effect.
    • Submissions will be accepted by office personnel beginning August 5, 2022.

Online Signatures

  • Click on the "sign form" link below the "thank you" text box.
    • Not all grades will have forms to view/sign in this area. If there are no forms to view in this area, please disregard.
  • Download the form to read it then click on the blue "add signature" words to sign that you have read and understood that form
  • You may have to scroll down to see the signature box/line. Add your signature by using your pointer finger on the "mousepad". You need to continue to hold down on the mousepad to continue to write.
  • Click "save" to add in your signature. When all signatures are added, proceed.
  • Once you have completed this process, LOGOUT of the JMC parent portal.

Paying Student Fees

To pay your student fees or put money in your child's lunch account, go to the JMC lunch module in your parent portal. To pay using JMC you will need to set up your debit/credit card and you will be charged processing fees.

Otherwise, you can stop by the Colo building Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. -2 p.m. in the month of July and/or the Zearing building starting August 1.

Forms

The ONLY forms that NEED to be brought to school staff are the FREE/REDUCED lunch application. This form only needs to be completed IF you feel you may qualify for free or reduced school meal prices due to low household income.

Completing Registration

Once you have finished this process your registration is complete. All information submitted on the forms will be submitted to the office immediately.

If you have any questions regarding this process, the Colo office will be open through the month of July Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. -2 p.m. and the Zearing and Colo offices will be available 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday through Friday starting August 1.

New Students

New students to the Colo-NESCO School community are encouraged to stop in the Colo office so that you can be added to our JMC program which will then allow you to register online.
